Living in Virginia has it’s advantages at times (warm weather, beaches, pretty women), but for sports fans, you can feel like you live outside the matrix sometimes. If you live in the northern part of the state (Metro DC Area), you have the luxury of being fans of the Redskins, Wizards, Nationals and Capitals as the home team. If you live in the southeast region (Hampton Roads), you have your choice of the same, or pick a random team like the Cowboys, Steelers, or Yankees.
I want to hear from some readers in states like Virginia, where you don’t have a professional sports team to call your own in your actual state. Do you pull for the nearest geographic team, or go for whoever you want?
